Description

Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • Optional toppings: maple syrup, fresh fruit, chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Mix the dry ingredients in a large bowl.
  2. Combine the wet ingredients in another bowl.
  3. Pour wet ingredients into dry ones and stir gently.
  4. Preheat your skillet over medium heat.
  5. Pour about ¼ cup of batter onto the skillet for each pancake.
  6. Cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  7. Serve and enjoy with your favorite toppings!

Notes

Don’t overmix the batter; lumps are good! Keep pancakes warm in the oven while cooking.
