Description

A creamy and dreamy sauce that’s a sophisticated alternative to traditional Bolognese, perfect for pasta and other dishes.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 lb ground pork
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 carrots, finely diced
  • 2 celery stalks, finely diced
  • 2 cups heavy cream or half-and-half
  • 1 cup white wine
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • A pinch of nutmeg
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion, carrot, and celery, and sauté until tender, about 5-7 minutes.
  2. Add ground beef and pork, cooking until browned and fully cooked.
  3. Pour in the white wine and let it simmer for a few minutes.
  4. Slowly stir in the cream, seasoning with salt, pepper, and nutmeg. Simmer for another 15 minutes, letting the sauce thicken.
  5. Toss the sauce over your favorite pasta and top with fresh parsley if desired.

Notes

For a lighter option, consider using ground turkey or chicken. You can substitute heavy cream with whole milk or dairy-free alternatives.
