  • A pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Gather your ingredients.
  2. Prepare the strawberries: Hull and slice them, sprinkle with 1/4 cup sugar, and let sit for 30 minutes.
  3. Bake the cake or biscuits: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Cream butter and remaining sugar until fluffy; then sift flour, baking powder, and salt, adding alternately with milk.
  4. Make the whipped cream: Chill the mixing bowl, add cream, sugar, and vanilla extract, and whip until soft peaks form.
