Description

A comforting tater tot casserole with ground beef, perfect for busy weeknights.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 32 ounces frozen tater tots
  • 10.5-ounce can cream of mushroom soup
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Optional: paprika, frozen mixed veggies, fresh bell peppers, chili powder, cumin

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until no longer pink. Add chopped onion and minced garlic; cook for 3-4 minutes until soft.
  3. In a large bowl, combine cooked beef mixture with cream of mushroom soup and seasonings. Add any optional veggies if using.
  4. Stir in 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese.
  5. In a 9×13 inch baking dish, spread the beef mixture evenly. Top with frozen tater tots.
  6. Sprinkle remaining cup of cheddar cheese over tater tots.
  7. Bake for about 45 minutes, until tater tots are golden brown and crispy.
  8. Let cool for 5 minutes before serving.
