Description

Delicious churro crinkle cookies with a chewy texture and a delightful cinnamon-sugar flavor.


Ingredients

  • ½ cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • Sugar for coating (powdered sugar)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, mixing in the vanilla extract.
  3. Mix the flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt in a separate bowl.
  4. Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet ingredients and stir until combined. Chill the dough in the fridge for about 30 minutes.
  5. Scoop out about 2 tablespoons for each cookie, roll them into balls, and toss in powdered sugar.
  6. Place the cookie balls on the prepared baking sheets, spaced about 2 inches apart. Bake for 10-12 minutes until the edges are golden.
  7. Cool on the baking sheet for about 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack or plate to cool completely.

Notes

For added flavor, consider mixing in chocolate chips, nuts, or shredded coconut.
