Scale
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup cold butter, cubed
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 4 cups strawberries, hulled and sliced
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Prep the strawberries: Grab a big bowl and toss the strawberries with sugar. Let them sit for about 30 minutes.

- Shape and bake: Turn dough onto a floured surface, shape into a circle, and cut into wedges or rounds. Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
- Whip up the cream: Whip heavy cream with sugar and vanilla until soft peaks form.
- Assemble your creation: Slice shortcakes, layer strawberries and whipped cream, and drizzle with strawberry juice.
Notes
Use fresh strawberries for the best flavor and serve immediately to prevent the biscuits from getting soggy.
