Description
A flavorful dish that perfectly balances tender chicken with the spicy kick of jalapenos and a creamy sauce.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 large chicken breasts (boneless, skinless)
- 2–3 fresh jalapenos (more if you’re feeling feisty)
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt & pepper to taste
- Fresh cilantro for garnish (optional)
- Lime wedges for squeezing
Instructions
- Slice the chicken into bite-sized pieces and season generously with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat, then sauté the seasoned chicken for 6-8 minutes until golden brown.
- Slice the jalapenos and add them to the cooked chicken, sautéing for an additional 2-3 minutes until softened.
- Pour in the heavy cream while stirring, then let the sauce simmer for 3-5 minutes until thickened. Adjust seasoning as necessary.
- Serve the Spicy Jalapeno Chicken over rice or pasta, garnished with fresh cilantro and lime wedges.
Notes
For added flavor, marinate the chicken in lime juice, garlic, and cayenne before cooking. Feel free to substitute with Greek yogurt for a lighter option.
