Description

Tender slow-cooked Salisbury steak smothered in rich garlic herb gravy — classic comfort made easy.


Ingredients

Scale

2 lbs ground beef

½ cup breadcrumbs

1 egg

2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

1 tbsp Dijon mustard

2 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp onion powder

Salt & pepper

Olive oil

2 cups beef broth

2 tbsp cornstarch + 2 tbsp water

1 tbsp tomato paste

1 tbsp soy sauce

3 cloves garlic

1 tsp thyme

1 tsp parsley

1 onion, sliced

1 cup mushrooms


Instructions

1. Mix beef, breadcrumbs, egg, and seasonings; form patties.

2. Sear patties until browned on both sides.

3. Add onions and mushrooms to slow cooker, place patties on top.

4. Whisk broth, tomato paste, soy sauce, garlic, thyme, and parsley; pour over.

5. Cook on Low 5–6 hrs or High 3 hrs.

6. Add cornstarch slurry last 30 mins to thicken gravy.

7. Serve hot with mashed potatoes.

Notes

Use lean beef for best texture.

Make ahead and freeze up to 2 months.

Add butter for extra creamy gravy.
