A delicious and easy slow-cooked chicken shawarma recipe that’s perfect for any day of the week.
Ingredients

- 2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken thighs (or breasts)
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 2 tablespoons shawarma spice mix
- Juice of 1 lemon
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Toppings: pickles, tahini, cucumbers, tomatoes, pita bread
Instructions
- In a large bowl, mix the olive oil, shawarma spice mix, lemon juice, minced garlic, salt, and pepper. Add the chicken and toss until well coated.
- Place the marinated chicken in the slow cooker. Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
- Once cooked, shred the chicken with two forks.
- Assemble the shawarma by loading the shredded chicken into pita bread and adding your favorite toppings.
Notes
For best results, marinate chicken overnight and garnish with fresh mint and parsley.
