A comforting, family-sized casserole featuring the sweet and tangy flavor of Manwich, perfect for busy weeknights.

- 1 lb ground beef (85/15)
- 1 (15 oz) can Manwich Original
- 2 cups frozen mixed vegetables or fresh chopped peppers and onions
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 2 cups mashed potatoes or 3 cups cubed potatoes, parboiled
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional: 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- Optional: 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350ยฐF (175ยฐC).
- Heat a skillet over medium heat, add olive oil, and brown the ground beef until no pink remains. Season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
- Drain excess fat, then stir in the Manwich and Worcestershire sauce. Let the mixture simmer for 3โ4 minutes.
- Fold the frozen vegetables (or fresh veggies) into the meat mixture.
- Spread mashed potatoes evenly in the bottom of a 9ร13-inch baking dish.
- Spoon the Manwich-meat mixture over the potato layer.
- Sprinkle shredded cheddar evenly on top, then add breadcrumbs if desired.
- Bake for 20โ25 minutes until the cheese bubbles and the top shows golden spots. Let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
For a looser casserole, stir in beef broth before baking. For a firmer texture, add extra mashed potatoes.
