- 2 medium-sized ripe pears
- 1/2 cup pecans or walnuts (optional)
- 1/4 cup freshly shaved Parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Trim off the stems and remove any yellow leaves from the Brussels sprouts, then shave them into thin ribbons using a knife or mandoline.
- Cut the pears in half, remove the core, and slice them thinly, keeping the skin on for added texture.
- In a large bowl, combine the shaved Brussels sprouts, pear slices, and nuts (if using).
- In a small bowl, whisk together olive oil, lemon juice, salt, and pepper, then drizzle over the salad and gently toss to combine.
- Add shaved Parmesan cheese on top and serve immediately or let it chill for about 30 minutes to enhance the flavors.
