Description

A delightful mix of minced meat and vegetables simmered together, perfect for comfort food lovers.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 500g minced beef or lamb (or turkey or chicken)
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 23 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 carrot, diced
  • 1 cup peas (frozen)
  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 1 cup beef or chicken broth
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

Instructions

  1. Heat a splash of oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the onions and garlic, cooking until fragrant.
  2. Add the minced meat and cook until browned, breaking it up with a spoon.
  3. Toss in the carrots and peas, cooking for about 5 minutes until softened.
  4. Add tomato paste, broth, Worcestershire sauce, and season to taste. Let it simmer for 15-20 minutes.
  5. Serve over mash, in a pie, or however you prefer.

Notes

For added flavor, consider using fresh herbs and customizing with spices. This dish can easily be frozen for later use.
