- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- ½ cup unsalted butter (melted)
- ¼ cup granulated sugar
- A pinch of salt
- For the Filling:
- 1 cup corn syrup
- 3 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups pecans (chopped)
- 1 cup salted caramel sauce (store-bought or homemade)
- For the Topping:
- More salted caramel sauce for drizzling
- Sea salt for sprinkling
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a medium bowl, mix melted butter, flour, sugar, and a pinch of salt to form a crumbly dough.
- Press the dough evenly into the bottom of a lined 8×8 inch baking pan. Bake for 10-15 minutes until lightly golden brown.
- In a large bowl, whisk together corn syrup, eggs, and vanilla extract.
- Add chopped pecans and half of the salted caramel sauce to the mixture, and mix well.
- Pour the pecan mixture over the warm crust and bake for 25-30 minutes until the edges look set but the center is slightly jiggly.
- Let the bars cool at room temperature for about an hour, then chill in the fridge for another hour.
- Drizzle more salted caramel sauce on top and sprinkle with sea salt before slicing into squares.

Store these bars in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week. Feel free to customize with your favorite nuts or chocolate chips.
