Description

A delicious ground beef patty smothered in rich gravy, reminiscent of cozy family dinners.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 cup bread crumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper (to taste)
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 cup sliced onions
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch (optional, for thickening)
  • Olive oil for cooking

Instructions

  1. Mix the ground beef, bread crumbs, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper together in a bowl and form patties.
  2. Sear the patties in olive oil on medium heat until browned (about 4-5 minutes). Remove and set aside.
  3. Sauté the sliced onions in the same skillet until tender and caramelized.
  4. Make the gravy by adding beef broth to the skillet, scraping up browned bits. Add cornstarch mixed with water if using.
  5. Combine the patties back into the skillet and let simmer in the gravy for about 10 minutes.
  6. Serve with mashed potatoes or veggies.
