Ingredients

- 1 pound ground beef
- 1/2 cup bread crumbs
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper (to taste)
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 cup sliced onions
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch (optional, for thickening)
- Olive oil for cooking
Instructions
- Mix the ground beef, bread crumbs, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper together in a bowl and form patties.
- Sear the patties in olive oil on medium heat until browned (about 4-5 minutes). Remove and set aside.
- Sauté the sliced onions in the same skillet until tender and caramelized.
- Make the gravy by adding beef broth to the skillet, scraping up browned bits. Add cornstarch mixed with water if using.
- Combine the patties back into the skillet and let simmer in the gravy for about 10 minutes.
- Serve with mashed potatoes or veggies.
