Description

Delicious and visually stunning Red Velvet Crinkle Cookies with a fudgy texture and crinkly surface.


Ingredients

  • 1 ¾ cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ½ cup vegetable oil
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tbsp red food coloring
  • Powdered sugar (for rolling)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, mix the vegetable oil and granulated sugar until combined. Add in the eggs, vanilla extract, and red food coloring, and mix until smooth.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients into the wet mixture and stir until combined.
  5. Chill the dough in the fridge for about 30 minutes.
  6. Scoop out portions of dough (about 1 tablespoon) and roll them into balls. Roll in powdered sugar until covered.
  7. Place on the prepared baking sheet about 2 inches apart and bake for 10-12 minutes. Allow cooling on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
