Ingredients

- 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- ½ cup unsalted butter (softened)
- 2 large eggs
- ½ cup milk
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Food coloring (red, yellow, blue, green, purple)
- Optional: Sprinkles for topping
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Mix the butter and sugar together until light and fluffy, then add the eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract.
- Add the flour and baking powder mixture alternately with the milk until combined.
- Divide the batter into separate bowls and add a different color to each.
- Layer the batter into cupcake liners starting with purple and working up to red.
- Bake for 18-20 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool completely before frosting.
- Decorate with sprinkles and enjoy!
