- 1 pound Italian sausage, casing removed
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 4 cups chicken or vegetable broth
- 1 cup heavy cream or milk
- Salt, to taste
- Black pepper, to taste
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
Instructions
- Prep the Ingredients: Chop the potatoes, onion, and garlic.
- Brown the Sausage: In a large pot, brown the sausage over medium heat.
- Add the Aromatics: Toss in the onion and garlic, and sauté until fragrant, about 3-5 minutes.
- Include the Potatoes: Add the chopped potatoes and broth; bring to a simmer.
- Creamy Finish: Once potatoes are tender, stir in cream or milk.
- Season to Taste: Add salt, pepper, and thyme.
- Let It Simmer: Simmer for 10 minutes to meld flavors.
