Description

A savory and crunchy garlic chicken recipe with a crispy coating, perfect for any dinner.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb chicken thighs and drumsticks
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup cornstarch
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 cup olive oil (for marinating)
  • 4 cloves minced garlic
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp dried thyme or rosemary

Instructions

  1. Cut chicken into pieces and pat dry.
  2. Marinate chicken with olive oil, minced garlic, lemon juice, and herbs for at least 30 minutes.
  3. In a bowl, mix the flour, cornstarch, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  4. Dredge the marinated chicken in the flour mixture and shake off excess.
  5. Heat oil in a pan and fry each piece until golden brown, flipping halfway through (10-12 minutes per side).

Notes

For a baking option, preheat oven to 425°F and bake for 30-40 minutes, flipping halfway.
