Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder

  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the butter and sugar and beat until fluffy (about 3 minutes).
  3. Add the eggs and vanilla extract, mixing until fully combined.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt, then gradually add to the wet mixture.
  5. Fold in the chocolate chips and crushed peppermint candy.
  6. Scoop the dough onto a lined baking sheet, leaving space between each ball.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until edges are set and tops are slightly cracked.
  8. Let cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack. Decorate with additional peppermint if desired.

Notes
