Ingredients

  • 1 pound fresh asparagus
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Drizzle of lemon juice (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Wash the asparagus: Rinse under cold water and pat dry with a paper towel.
  3. Trim the ends: Cut off about an inch from the bottom.
  4. Toss with olive oil: Combine the asparagus with olive oil, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  5. Spread on a baking sheet: Lay them out evenly.
  6. Sprinkle the grated Parmesan generously over the asparagus.
  7. Give those stalks a shake to ensure even coating.
  8. Slide the baking sheet into the oven and roast for 12-15 minutes.
  9. Broil for the last 2 minutes for extra crunch if desired.
