Description

A quick and delicious one-pan dinner that combines tender salmon with a creamy sauce and capers for a flavorful meal.


Ingredients

  • 2 salmon fillets (preferably skinless)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons capers
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat the olive oil in a large pan over medium-high heat.
  2. Season the salmon fillets with salt and pepper.
  3. Add the salmon skin-side down and sear for about 4-5 minutes on each side.
  4. Remove the salmon from the pan and keep it warm.
  5. Lower the heat to medium and add the minced garlic to the same pan.
  6. Sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  7. Pour in the heavy cream, lemon juice, and capers. Stir and simmer for 2-3 minutes until slightly thickened.
  8. Season with more salt and pepper if desired.
  9. Return the salmon to the pan and soak it in the sauce for 2 minutes.
  10. Remove from heat and garnish with freshly chopped parsley.

Notes

Feel free to substitute salmon with trout or chicken, adjusting cooking times accordingly.
