Crispy, golden-brown fried chicken marinated in a buttermilk bath for unbeatable flavor.
Ingredients

- 4 pieces of chicken (legs, thighs or breasts)
- 2 cups buttermilk
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp paprika
- Vegetable oil for frying
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine chicken and buttermilk. Marinate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.
- In a separate bowl, mix flour, salt, pepper, and paprika.
- Heat oil in a cast-iron skillet over medium heat.
- Dredge the marinated chicken in the flour mixture, shaking off excess flour.
- Fry chicken in hot oil for about 15-20 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through.
- Drain on paper towels and serve hot.
Notes
For extra crispy skin, double dip the chicken in buttermilk and flour.
