Description

A classic pecan pie with a gooey, buttery filling and perfectly toasted pecans, ideal for festive occasions.


Ingredients

  • 1 pie crust (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1 cup corn syrup (light or dark)
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup butter, melted
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup toasted pecans
  • A splash of bourbon (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Prepare your pie crust in a 9-inch pie pan and crimp the edges.
  3. In a large bowl, whisk together the corn syrup, brown sugar, granulated sugar, and melted butter.
  4. Beat the eggs and whisk them into the mixture until smooth.
  5. Stir in the vanilla extract and bourbon.
  6. Fold in the toasted pecans.
  7. Pour the pecan mixture into the pie crust.
  8. Bake for about 60 minutes, or until the center is set.
  9. Let it cool for at least two hours before serving.
