- 1 pie crust (store-bought or homemade)
- 1 cup corn syrup (light or dark)
- 1 cup brown sugar, packed
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- ½ cup butter, melted
- 4 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup toasted pecans
- A splash of bourbon (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Prepare your pie crust in a 9-inch pie pan and crimp the edges.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the corn syrup, brown sugar, granulated sugar, and melted butter.
- Beat the eggs and whisk them into the mixture until smooth.
- Stir in the vanilla extract and bourbon.
- Fold in the toasted pecans.
- Pour the pecan mixture into the pie crust.
- Bake for about 60 minutes, or until the center is set.
- Let it cool for at least two hours before serving.
