Description

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef (80/20 mix)
  • 2 yellow onions, thinly sliced
  • 4 burger buns
  • Salt, to taste
  • Pepper, to taste
  • Optional Toppings: Cheddar cheese, pickles, BBQ sauce

Instructions

  1. Gather all your ingredients and lay them out.
  2. Slice the onions as thinly as possible.
  3. Form the ground beef into patties.
  4. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and sauté the onions in a little oil for 5-7 minutes until golden brown.
  5. Push onions to the side, place the patties in the skillet, season with salt and pepper, and press them into the onions.
  6. Cook patties for 3-4 minutes on each side, flipping only once.
  7. If desired, add cheddar cheese on top during the last minute of cooking.
  8. Assemble the burgers with the patties and fried onions in toasted buns, adding any optional toppings.
