Description

A simple and flavorful slow cooker dish that transforms a basic pot roast into a comforting meal with Ranch dressing, Au Jus, and pepperoncini.


Ingredients

  • 35 pounds chuck roast
  • 1 packet Ranch dressing mix
  • 1 packet Au Jus gravy mix
  • 1 stick butter
  • 46 pepperoncini peppers
  • Optional: onions or carrots

Instructions

  1. Gather your gear: slow cooker, cutting board, and knife.
  2. Season the roast lightly with salt and pepper.
  3. Place the roast in the slow cooker, sprinkle Ranch and Au Jus mixes on top, add butter, and toss in pepperoncini peppers.
  4. Cook on low for 8 hours or high for 4 hours.
  5. Once done, shred the roast and serve with drippings over your choice of sides or on a bun.

Notes

For added flavor, consider adding hot sauce for a spicy kick or vegetables like carrots and potatoes at the beginning of cooking.
