Description

A delightful treat of sweet Medjool dates stuffed with creamy mascarpone cheese and topped with a luscious maple drizzle.


Ingredients

  • 12 large Medjool dates
  • 1 cup mascarpone cheese
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 23 tablespoons pure maple syrup
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon (optional)
  • Chopped nuts (optional)
  • Dark chocolate shavings (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Cut a slit down the center of each Medjool date and remove the pits.
  2. In a medium bowl, blend the mascarpone cheese and vanilla extract until smooth, adding cinnamon if desired.
  3. Spoon the mascarpone mixture into the slit of each date.
  4. Place the stuffed dates on a parchment-lined baking sheet and bake for 10-15 minutes.
  5. In a small bowl, mix maple syrup with cinnamon if using. Drizzle over warm dates after baking.
  6. Optionally, sprinkle with chopped nuts or dark chocolate shavings before serving.

Notes
