Description
This delightful Maple Pecan Pie features a gooey, caramel-like filling studded with crunchy pecans, all nestled in a sweet, nutty brown sugar crust.

- 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- ¼ cup brown sugar
- ½ cup unsalted butter (cubed and chilled)
- 1 cold egg yolk
- 2–3 tablespoons cold water
- 1 cup pecans (chopped)
- 1 cup pure maple syrup
- ¾ cup brown sugar
- 3 eggs
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter (melted)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- ½ teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Combine the flour and brown sugar in a large bowl.
- Cut the butter into the mixture until it resembles coarse crumbs.
- Stir in the egg yolk and add cold water one tablespoon at a time until the dough holds together.
- Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Roll out the dough until about 1/8-inch thick and transfer to a 9-inch pie pan, crimping the edges.
- Prick the bottom with a fork and pre-bake for 10-15 minutes until lightly golden.
- In a large bowl, whisk together maple syrup, brown sugar, melted butter, eggs, vanilla extract, and salt until well combined.
- Fold in the chopped pecans.
- Pour the filling into the pre-baked crust and bake for 45-50 minutes until the filling is set but still jiggles slightly.
- Cool for at least 2 hours before serving.
Notes
Serve with whipped cream, vanilla ice cream, or caramel sauce for an extra treat. Store wrapped in plastic for up to 2 days or in the fridge for up to one week.
