Description

Ingredients

  • 23 Chicken breasts
  • 1 cup Pecans, chopped
  • 1/2 cup Maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup Bourbon
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons Soy sauce
  • Olive oil, for cooking
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Optional: a dash of cayenne pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Combine in a medium bowl: maple syrup, bourbon, soy sauce, minced garlic, and a pinch of salt and pepper.
  3. Pat dry your chicken breasts and season with salt, pepper, and cayenne if desired.
  4. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  5. Add the chicken breasts and sear for about 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  6. Pour the glaze over the chicken and spoon it repeatedly for 2-3 minutes.
  7. Transfer the chicken to the baking sheet, sprinkle with pecans, and bake for 20-25 minutes until cooked through (165°F or 75°C internally).
  8. Let the chicken rest for a few moments and drizzle with any leftover glaze before serving.

Try using boneless skinless chicken thighs for a juicier meal. Gluten-free? Swap soy sauce for gluten-free tamari.
