Description

Ingredients

  • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened

  • 1/3 cup fresh lemon juice

  • ½ teaspoon baking soda

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease and flour a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  3. Cream together the butter and sugar until fluffy.
  4. Add eggs, buttermilk, lemon zest, and lemon juice, mixing well.
  5. Whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in another bowl.
  6. Combine the dry ingredients with the wet until just mixed.
  7. Pour batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top.
  8. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  9. Let it cool, and drizzle on a lemon glaze made of powdered sugar mixed with lemon juice.
