Description

A quick and delicious Korean ground beef bowl that’s savory and customizable, perfect for busy weeknight dinners.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef (or turkey)
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 inch piece ginger, minced (or powdered)
  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • Cooked rice (white, brown, or cauliflower rice)
  • Green onions & sesame seeds for garnish
  • Veggies of your choice (broccoli, carrots, or bell peppers)

Instructions

  1. Heat a skillet and brown the ground beef (or turkey), breaking it up with a spoon.
  2. Add in the onion, garlic, and ginger; cook until onions are soft.
  3. Stir in soy sauce, brown sugar, and sesame oil; let simmer for a few minutes.
  4. Assemble the bowl with rice, beef mixture, and veggies; garnish with green onions and sesame seeds.
  5. Enjoy!

Notes

Use quality beef for better flavor. Feel free to add kimchi or pickled vegetables as toppings.
