Description

Master the art of cooking tender and juicy pan-seared chicken breasts with a perfect golden crust.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil (or avocado oil)
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, crushed
  • Fresh herbs (such as thyme or rosemary), optional

Instructions

  1. Thaw the chicken breasts if frozen and season both sides with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add olive oil.
  3. Add the chicken breasts to the skillet and sear for 5-7 minutes without moving them.
  4. Flip the chicken breasts and add butter and crushed garlic to the pan, basting with the melted butter.
  5. Cook for another 5-7 minutes until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).
  6. Remove from heat and let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

For extra flavor, consider marinating the chicken for up to 4 hours before cooking or brining it in saltwater for 30 minutes.
