Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground chicken
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • ½ cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp coriander
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 egg
  • ½ cup breadcrumbs

For the Garlic Yogurt Sauce:

  • 1 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Juice of ½ lemon
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine ground chicken, chopped onion, minced garlic, parsley, cumin, coriander, paprika, salt, pepper, egg, and breadcrumbs. Mix with your hands until well combined.
  2. Form the mixture into oval-shaped logs (like hot dogs) and place on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  3. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat or the oven to 400°F (200°C). Cook the kofta for 10-12 minutes on the grill or 20-25 minutes in the oven, flipping halfway through.
  4. While the kofta cooks, combine Greek yogurt, minced garlic, lemon juice, olive oil, salt, and pepper in a small bowl. Adjust seasoning as needed and chill in the fridge.
