- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 12 large marshmallows, cut in half
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, then mix in the vanilla extract until combined.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing on low speed until a dough forms.
- Fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
- Scoop about 2 tablespoons of dough, flatten it, place a marshmallow half in the center, and wrap the dough around it.
- Place the dough balls 2 inches apart on the baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes until the edges are set but the centers look soft.
Notes
Use room temperature ingredients for the best texture. Dough can be refrigerated or frozen for later baking.
