Description

A sweet, fluffy strawberry cake bursting with fresh berry flavor, perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 ½ cups granulated sugar
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, chopped
  • 1 cup heavy cream (for frosting)
  • 3 tbsp powdered sugar (for frosting)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract (for frosting)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.
  3. Mix your dry ingredients: combine flour, baking powder, and salt in a bowl.
  4. Cream together butter and sugar in another bowl until light and fluffy.
  5. Add eggs one at a time and mix well, then pour in vanilla extract.
  6. Gradually add your dry ingredients alternating with milk to the butter mixture.
  7. Fold in chopped fresh strawberries.
  8. Bake in the oven for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  9. Cool cakes on a wire rack before frosting.
  10. Whip cream until soft peaks form, then fold in powdered sugar and vanilla extract for the frosting.
  11. Frost your cooled cake layers and add sliced strawberries on top.
