Description

Tender and flavorful chicken marinated in Greek yogurt, perfect for grilling, baking, or pan-searing.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup Greek yogurt
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 teaspoons dried oregano
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: 1 tablespoon honey
  • Optional: 1 tablespoon mustard
  • Optional: Chili flakes
  • Chicken (breasts, thighs, or drumsticks)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine Greek yogurt, lemon juice, minced garlic, olive oil, oregano, salt, and pepper.
  2. Add chicken pieces and ensure they are well coated with the marinade.
  3. Cover and let marinate for at least 1 hour, or up to overnight.
  4. To grill, preheat the grill to medium-high and cook chicken for 6-8 minutes per side or until it reaches 165°F.
  5. To bake, preheat the oven to 400°F and bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden.
  6. To pan-sear, heat olive oil in a skillet and sear chicken for 5-7 minutes on each side.

Notes

Marinating overnight enhances flavor and tenderness. Leftovers can be refrigerated for 3-4 days or frozen for up to 3 months.
