Description
A quick and creamy Greek feta dip that is perfect for parties or as a simple snack.
Ingredients
Scale
- 8 oz feta cheese (block feta works better than crumbled)
- 3 tbsp extra-virgin olive oil
- 2 tbsp plain Greek yogurt
- 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 tsp dried or 1 tbsp fresh oregano
- Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
- Optional: red pepper flakes, honey, chopped herbs, or roasted red peppers for color
Instructions
- Crumble the feta into a blender or mortar. If you don’t use a food processor, chop the block finely with a knife.
- Add Greek yogurt, olive oil, lemon juice, and garlic.
- Pulse or mash until the dip becomes smooth but still has a little texture.
- Stir in oregano and black pepper. Taste, then adjust lemon or olive oil.
- Finish with a drizzle of olive oil, a sprinkle of oregano, and a few red pepper flakes if desired.
Notes
Serve with warm pita, veggies, or crackers. This dip can be refrigerated for 4-5 days in an airtight container.
