Description

A quick and creamy Greek feta dip that is perfect for parties or as a simple snack.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz feta cheese (block feta works better than crumbled)
  • 3 tbsp extra-virgin olive oil
  • 2 tbsp plain Greek yogurt
  • 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp dried or 1 tbsp fresh oregano
  • Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • Optional: red pepper flakes, honey, chopped herbs, or roasted red peppers for color

Instructions

  1. Crumble the feta into a blender or mortar. If you don’t use a food processor, chop the block finely with a knife.
  2. Add Greek yogurt, olive oil, lemon juice, and garlic.
  3. Pulse or mash until the dip becomes smooth but still has a little texture.
  4. Stir in oregano and black pepper. Taste, then adjust lemon or olive oil.
  5. Finish with a drizzle of olive oil, a sprinkle of oregano, and a few red pepper flakes if desired.

Notes

Serve with warm pita, veggies, or crackers. This dip can be refrigerated for 4-5 days in an airtight container.
