Description

Delightful soft gingerbread cookies topped with a chocolate Hershey’s Kiss, perfect for the holiday season.


Ingredients

  • 2 ¼ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 2 tsp ground ginger
  • 2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • ½ tsp ground cloves
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ cup softened butter
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/3 cup unsulfured molasses
  • 1 egg
  • Hershey’s Kisses for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  3. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, ginger, cinnamon, cloves, and salt.
  4. Cream together the butter, brown sugar, molasses, and egg until fluffy.
  5. Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet ingredients.
  6. Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of dough and roll into balls.
  7. Bake for 8-10 minutes, keeping an eye on them.
  8. As soon as they come out of the oven, press a Hershey’s Kiss into the center of each cookie.
  9. Cool on a wire rack or plate before enjoying!

Notes

Chill the dough for easier rolling if sticky. Consider experimenting with different flavored Kisses or spice mixes.
