Delightful soft gingerbread cookies topped with a chocolate Hershey’s Kiss, perfect for the holiday season.
Ingredients

- 2 ¼ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 2 tsp ground ginger
- 2 tsp ground cinnamon
- ½ tsp ground cloves
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ cup softened butter
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/3 cup unsulfured molasses
- 1 egg
- Hershey’s Kisses for topping
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, ginger, cinnamon, cloves, and salt.
- Cream together the butter, brown sugar, molasses, and egg until fluffy.
- Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet ingredients.
- Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of dough and roll into balls.
- Bake for 8-10 minutes, keeping an eye on them.
- As soon as they come out of the oven, press a Hershey’s Kiss into the center of each cookie.
- Cool on a wire rack or plate before enjoying!
Notes
Chill the dough for easier rolling if sticky. Consider experimenting with different flavored Kisses or spice mixes.
