- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
- 3/4 cup chopped nuts (optional)

- 1/4 cup sugar (for topping)
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon (for topping)
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter (melted, for topping)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract.
- In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon. Gradually add this mixture to the wet ingredients, stirring until well combined.
- In a separate bowl, mix together the topping ingredients: flour, sugar, cinnamon, and melted butter until crumbly.
- Drop dough by rounded tablespoons onto the prepared baking sheets and create a small well in the center of each cookie. Sprinkle the topping over each.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until edges are golden. Allow to cool slightly before transferring to wire racks.
