- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp salt
- ¾ cup unsalted butter (softened)
- ¾ cup brown sugar
- ¾ cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 cups chocolate chips
- 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- ½ cup unsalted butter (melted)

- ½ cup all-purpose flour
- ¼ tsp salt
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, mix together the flour, baking soda, and salt; set aside. In another bowl, cream together softened butter with brown sugar and granulated sugar until fluffy. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract, then gradually add in the flour mixture. Fold in the chocolate chips.

- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the edges are set. Let cool for a few minutes before cutting.
Notes
Experiment with add-ins like nuts or caramel bits, and consider using different chocolate types for contrast.
