- 2 to 3 pounds pork shoulder
- 1 cup BBQ sauce
- 1 onion (sliced)
- 4 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon pepper
- Optional: A shot of apple cider vinegar
Instructions
- Trim any excessive fat from the pork shoulder.
- In a bowl, combine the BBQ sauce, minced garlic, smoked paprika, brown sugar, salt, and pepper. Add apple cider vinegar if desired.
- Layer sliced onion at the bottom of the slow cooker, place the pork shoulder on top, and cover with the BBQ mixture.
- Cook on low for 8 to 10 hours or on high for 4 to 6 hours.
- Once cooked, remove the pork, shred with two forks, and mix back into the remaining sauce in the slow cooker.
