- 1 lb ground hamburger meat
- 4 medium potatoes, peeled and chopped
- 1 cup shredded cheese (Cheddar or Monterey Jack)
- 4 cups chicken broth
- 1 cup milk
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional: Bacon, Green onions
Instructions
- Brown the hamburger in a large pot over medium heat and drain the grease.
- Add chopped onions and minced garlic; cook until fragrant (3-4 minutes).
- Stir in chopped potatoes and chicken broth; bring to a boil, then simmer for 15-20 minutes until potatoes are tender.
- Add milk and cheese, stirring frequently until melted.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve hot, garnished with extra cheese, crumbled bacon, and chopped green onions if desired.
