A rich and gooey deep dish pecan pie filled with crunchy pecans and a sweet filling, perfect for the holiday season.
Ingredients

- 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup unsalted butter (cold and cubed)
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp sugar
- 6–8 tbsp ice water
- 1 cup light corn syrup
- 1 cup brown sugar, packed
- 4 large eggs
- ¼ cup unsalted butter (melted)
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 cups pecan halves
Instructions
- In a large bowl, mix the flour, salt, and sugar.
- Add the butter and cut it into the dry ingredients until it resembles coarse crumbs.
- Gradually add the ice water a tablespoon at a time and mix until the dough comes together.
- Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and refrigerate for about 30 minutes.
- In a bowl, whisk together the corn syrup, brown sugar, eggs, melted butter, and vanilla.
- Fold in the pecans.
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Roll out the dough and fit it into a 9-inch deep-dish pie pan.
- Pour the filling into the crust.
- Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until the filling is set and the top is golden brown.
- Allow the pie to cool for at least two hours before serving.
Notes
Add chocolate chips or bourbon to elevate the flavor. Serve with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
