Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Prepare a 9×13 inch baking dish by greasing and flouring it or lining with parchment paper.
- Combine the flour, baking powder, and salt in a medium bowl.
- Cream the butter and sugar in a large mixing bowl until fluffy.
- Add the eggs one by one, beating well after each addition.
- Mix in the guava puree and vanilla extract.
- Incorporate the dry mixture into the wet batter, alternating with the milk.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Let the cake cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then remove and cool completely on a wire rack.
- Spread your preferred frosting over the cooled cake, and add any toppings if desired.
Notes
For best results, avoid overmixing the batter and use ripe guavas for the puree.
