Description

An easy and delicious Crockpot Chicken Marsala that cooks while you relax. Tender chicken, mushrooms, and a rich Marsala wine sauce make this dish a family favorite.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 cup Marsala wine
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream

Instructions

  1. Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper to taste.
  2. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat and sear chicken for about 2-3 minutes on each side.
  3. Place the chicken in the crockpot and top with sliced mushrooms, minced garlic, and Italian seasoning. Pour Marsala wine and chicken broth over everything and stir gently.
  4. Cover the crockpot and set it on low for 6 to 8 hours.
  5. About 30 minutes before serving, stir in the heavy cream.
  6. Serve over pasta, rice, or mashed potatoes, and garnish with fresh parsley.

Notes

Using quality ingredients will enhance the flavor. Adjust seasoning as needed, and feel free to add more garlic or a squeeze of lemon for extra zest.
