A quick and creamy pasta dish bursting with garlic and tomato flavors.
Ingredients

- 8 ounces of your favorite pasta (penne, spaghetti, etc.)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can (15 ounces) diced or crushed tomatoes
- 1 cup heavy cream
- ½ cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
- A handful of fresh basil, chopped
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the pasta and cook until al dente according to package instructions.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Sauté minced garlic for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- Add canned tomatoes (juice included) to the skillet and let it simmer for about 5 minutes.
- Stir in heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Add grated Parmesan cheese, stirring continuously until melted.
- Drain the cooked pasta and add it directly to the sauce, stirring to coat.
- Season with salt and pepper. Garnish with chopped basil and additional Parmesan cheese if desired.
Notes
For a heartier meal, you can add cooked chicken, vegetables, or arugula.
