Description

A quick and creamy pasta dish bursting with garlic and tomato flavors.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 ounces of your favorite pasta (penne, spaghetti, etc.)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can (15 ounces) diced or crushed tomatoes
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • A handful of fresh basil, chopped
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the pasta and cook until al dente according to package instructions.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Sauté minced garlic for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  3. Add canned tomatoes (juice included) to the skillet and let it simmer for about 5 minutes.
  4. Stir in heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Add grated Parmesan cheese, stirring continuously until melted.
  5. Drain the cooked pasta and add it directly to the sauce, stirring to coat.
  6. Season with salt and pepper. Garnish with chopped basil and additional Parmesan cheese if desired.

Notes

For a heartier meal, you can add cooked chicken, vegetables, or arugula.
