Description

A quick and easy dish that combines juicy steak, hearty pasta shells, and a creamy paprika sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb Steak (sirloin works wonders)
  • 8 oz Pasta Shells (about 2 cups)
  • 1 cup Heavy Cream
  • 1 cup Chicken Broth
  • 2 tbsp Paprika
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 medium Onion, chopped
  • Olive Oil for cooking
  • Salt & Pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Boil water in a large pot, add pasta shells, and cook according to package instructions (8-10 minutes) until al dente. Drain and set aside, reserving a cup of pasta water.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Season steak with salt, pepper, and paprika, then sear for 3-4 minutes per side for medium-rare. Remove from skillet, let rest, and slice.
  3. Add more olive oil to the skillet if needed. Sauté onion and garlic until translucent (2-3 minutes). Pour in chicken broth and scrape the skillet to release flavors.
  4. Stir in heavy cream and remaining paprika. Simmer for 5 minutes, adjusting thickness with reserved pasta water if necessary.
  5. Combine cooked pasta and sliced steak in the skillet. Stir until everything is well combined and heated through (1-2 minutes).

Notes

Garnish with parsley or chives and consider adding grated cheese on top for extra flavor.
