- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 medium onion (chopped)
- 2 cloves garlic (minced)
- 10 oz mushrooms (sliced)
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 cup sour cream
- 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Egg noodles or rice (for serving)
Instructions
- In a large skillet over medium heat, add ground beef and cook until browned, about 6-8 minutes. Drain grease if needed.
- Add chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet, sautéing until the onion is translucent, about 3-4 minutes.
- Stir in sliced mushrooms and cook until tender, about 5 minutes.
- Sprinkle flour over beef and veggies, and stir to coat. Slowly pour in beef broth and Worcestershire sauce, stirring until the mixture thickens, about 3-4 minutes.
- Reduce heat, stir in sour cream, and season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve over cooked egg noodles or rice.
Notes
Use full-fat sour cream for a creamier texture. You can add spinach or peas for extra nutrition.
