Description

A quick and easy dinner featuring ground beef in a creamy sauce, perfect for weeknight meals.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 medium onion (chopped)
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 10 oz mushrooms (sliced)
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Egg noodles or rice (for serving)

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, add ground beef and cook until browned, about 6-8 minutes. Drain grease if needed.
  2. Add chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet, sautéing until the onion is translucent, about 3-4 minutes.
  3. Stir in sliced mushrooms and cook until tender, about 5 minutes.
  4. Sprinkle flour over beef and veggies, and stir to coat. Slowly pour in beef broth and Worcestershire sauce, stirring until the mixture thickens, about 3-4 minutes.
  5. Reduce heat, stir in sour cream, and season with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Serve over cooked egg noodles or rice.

Notes

Use full-fat sour cream for a creamier texture. You can add spinach or peas for extra nutrition.
