Description
A quick and comforting creamy beef pasta that’s sure to be a family favorite.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound ground beef
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 8 ounces pasta (any type)
- Fresh parsley (optional)
- Optional add-ins: Spinach, bell peppers, mushrooms, Parmesan cheese
Instructions
- Boil a large pot of salted water and cook pasta according to package directions (8-10 minutes). Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add chopped onion and sauté until translucent (3-5 minutes). Add minced garlic and stir for 30 seconds.
- Add ground beef, breaking it up with a spatula. Cook until browned; season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
- Pour in the heavy cream and stir until combined. Simmer for 3-4 minutes, adding optional veggies if desired.
- Add cooked pasta to the creamy beef mixture and mix until coated. Garnish with parsley and cheese.
Notes
Allow beef to brown well for added flavor. Wider pasta like fettuccine holds sauce better. Consider cream alternatives for a lighter dish.
