Description

A comforting classic banana bread recipe, perfect for using up ripe bananas with a deliciously soft texture.


Ingredients

  • 3 ripe bananas
  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • Pinch of salt
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Mash the bananas in a mixing bowl until they’re mostly gooey.
  3. Mix in the melted butter and stir well.
  4. Combine with the beaten egg, vanilla extract, baking soda, salt, and sugar. Stir gently.
  5. Fold in the flour until no dry flour is visible.
  6. Grease a loaf pan and pour in the batter. Bake for about 60 minutes.
  7. Cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Use extra ripe bananas for the best flavor and texture. Feel free to add nuts or chocolate chips for extra texture.
