Description

A delicious blend of crispy churro flavor and creamy cheesecake filling, topped with cinnamon-sugar crunch.


Ingredients

  • 2 cans (8 oz each) crescent roll dough
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 bundles (8 oz each) cream cheese, relaxed
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 large egg

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, mix ½ cup sugar and 2 teaspoons cinnamon together.
  2. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  3. Press one can of crescent roll dough into the bottom of the dish, sealing seams.
  4. Sprinkle half of the cinnamon-sugar mixture over the dough.
  5. In a large bowl, beat cream cheese, ¾ cup sugar, vanilla extract, and egg until smooth.
  6. Spread the cheesecake mixture over the dough layer.
  7. Unroll the second can of dough and lay it over the cheesecake mixture.
  8. Brush melted butter on top and sprinkle the remaining cinnamon-sugar mixture.
  9. Bake for 30-35 minutes, until golden brown on top.
  10. Cool for at least 30 minutes, then refrigerate for 2 hours before serving.
  11. Cut into bars and serve cold or at room temperature.

Notes

Use full-fat cream cheese for the best results. Chilling the bars before serving is recommended for better texture.
